Castlemaine and surrounds Repair Cafe

The Castlemaine and surrounds Repair Café happens on the last Sunday of the month from January to November. The Cafe volunteers attempt to repair broken household appliances, sewing repairs, toys, etc. Please respect volunteer repairers and clean out appliances and wash clothing before taking to the Repair Cafe.

Join the Mending Circle and learn to crochet, darn, knit, hand sew, etc. so your clothes continue to be usable.

Bring along take your latest project and share your skills. Use or learn to use the spare sewing machine.

Take broken small wooden items and small fiddly things like jewellery or beading. Knives sharpened.

Get Apple Mac advice and simple device or application support. If complex work is needed, your computer is worked on for a fee at the repairers workshop. Also PC help with settings, apps etc.

Learn basic bicycle maintenance - fix a puncture, adjust brakes etc.

Repair Cafés are about keeping things out of landfill, saving you money, and giving members of the community the opportunity to volunteer.

The Repair Café is at Castlemaine Community House, 30 Templeton Street and runs from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Enter via the backdoor. If the Café is busy, the last item accepted is at 12.15pm. A gold coin donation is appreciated.
