Baringhup Road which has been reconstructed

Mount Alexander Shire Council completed the reconstruction of a 750‑metre section of Baringhup Road between Allans Road and Boundary Road in March 2025. As an important rural link between Baringhup and Carisbrook—and a well‑used route for commuters travelling between Maldon, Baringhup, Carisbrook and destinations along the Pyrenees Highway—the upgrade delivered significant improvements for local road users.

The works involved rehabilitating and stabilising the existing pavement and enhancing drainage infrastructure, resulting in a uniform sealed surface and improved culvert performance. This project was funded through the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI). The reconstructed segment sits approximately 1 km south‑west of Allans Road and 1.2 km north‑east of Boundary Road.
