Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan
The Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029 was endorsed by Council on 16 September 2025.
The plan sets out what Council will do to protect, promote and improve community health and wellbeing in the shire over the next four years, in partnership with government and health and community service organisations.
The plan has six strategic priorities to respond to local health and wellbeing indicators, and the strengths and gaps highlighted by community and agency partners:
- Improving wellbeing
- Increasing healthy eating and food security
- Increasing active living
- Tackling climate change and its impact on health
- Reducing harm from alcohol and drug use
- Preventing violence and promoting gender equity
