The six-month education period for Mount Alexander Shire Council's 24-hour cat curfew will end on 21 October 2026.
Cat owners are reminded that cats must be confined to their property at all times. If you haven't yet made arrangements for cat containment, now is the time to do so.
Council has spent the past six months supporting residents to understand the new requirements and will continue to provide information and guidance.
From 21 October, enforcement may commence where required.
