Applications for the next round of Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Event Grants are now open.

The program supports groups and individuals who are running public events, and there are three funding streams of $1,000, $2,000 and $3,000 available.

The last round supported 16 groups including Taradale Mineral Springs Festival, Live in Baringhup, Gather Harcourt and the Wesley Hill Market.

Funding can be used for a wide variety of event-related costs, including venue and equipment hire, marketing, traffic management and more.

“Council is proud to continue supporting the incredible range of community-led events that bring our shire to life,” said Mayor Toby Heydon.

“From long-running festivals to grassroots markets and live music, these events create opportunities for connection, celebration and shared experiences across our shire.

“They deliver real benefits for our local economy, drawing visitors, supporting traders and showcasing the creativity and talent that define our region.

“Whether you’re planning a new idea or building on a much-loved annual event, I encourage you to apply and take advantage of this funding opportunity.”
