Meet Muckleford Fields
They’re a family-run blueberry farm in Central Victoria committed to sustainable farming practices that benefit our land, the community and the planet.
Over the past year and a half, they’ve collected over 3,000 litres of used coffee grounds from Maine Foodstore – waste that would otherwise end up in landfill.
They spread the nutrient-rich grounds on their blueberry fields, improving soil health, reducing methane-producing landfill waste and building relationships between businesses.
We recently asked local businesseses what they’re doing to take action against climate change. They told us stories about composting, collecting pre-loved clothing, building biodiversity and lots more!
In July, we’re sharing these stories with you, with the aim to inspire and learn from each other.
