Flood recovery works on Bendigo-Sutton Grange Road

Mount Alexander Shire Council is continuing its commitment to flood recovery with road works along Bendigo - Sutton Grange Road at Sandy Creek, Metcalfe.

In October 2022, severe flooding resulted in extensive damage across Mount Alexander Shire and the wider region.

Road works along Bendigo - Sutton Grange Road at Sandy Creek will restore the batter, verge and pavement along these roads.

The following works will take place in October 2023:

  • Earthworks
  • Installation of gabion baskets with geofabric material
  • Backfill with selected fill
  • Placement of pavement material
  • Installation of guard fence
  • Placement of bituminous spray seal

Works will begin on Monday 2 October and are expected to be completed by Monday 30 October. Traffic management will be in place and minor delays may be experienced.
