Mount Alexander Shire Council is proposing updates to the heritage controls for Maldon’s Historic Central Area.

Maldon is a significant, historical town, and these updates will help protect its buildings, streets and public spaces.

The amendment, which is referred to as Planning Scheme Amendment C102malx, will fix outdated information, improve the maps and explain more clearly why the area is important.

It will also make heritage information for the area clearer, more accurate and easier to use.

The amendment is on display to the public from 17 April to 22 May.

Community members are invited to view the document and provide feedback.
