Featuring panels, workshops, a business expo and networking opportunities, this event offers practical experiences, expert advice and direct conversations with industry professionals.

With nearly 40 organisations in attendance, the event provides access to training providers, mentors, funding opportunities, support organisations and more.

Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Manager Economy and Culture, Merryn Tinkler, said the day is an invaluable opportunity for anyone looking to start or grow their business.

"The day is open to everyone. Whether you’re a creative, small business owner or work in agriculture and farming, there’s something for you.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to get practical advice from people who’ve achieved success in their fields.

“You can learn how to attract clients, generate cashflow, upskill and build your business with confidence.”

Highlights of the Micro and Small Business Day include:

• A business expo at the Castlemaine Town Hall – A diverse mix of employers, training providers and resources. Experts will be on hand to provide personalised advice and support, helping attendees plan their next business step.
• Panel discussions and workshops – These events will cover topics like generating cash flow, strategic marketing, using AI to boost productivity and more.
• Networking opportunities – There will be a number of networking opportunities at venues across Castlemaine in the evening.
• Business mentoring – Book a one-on-one session with a business mentor.
• Live radio broadcast – MainFM will be broadcasting live from the event.
