The 2025 Active Living Census was launched by Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Mayor Cr Rosie Annear and CEO Darren Fuzzard, and is now available for residents to complete online at www.healthyloddoncampaspe.au/alc.

The Active Living Census, which was conducted in Greater Bendigo in 2014 and across the region in 2019.

It’s a vital regional survey that collects important data on residents’ health, wellbeing and lifestyle habits to guide future community planning and investment.

Healthy Loddon Campaspe, a Victorian State Government-funded initiative aimed at improving health outcomes in the region, is delivering the 2025 Active Living Census (ALC) in partnership with the six local government areas of City of Greater Bendigo, Campaspe Shire Council, Central Goldfields Shire Council, Loddon Shire Council, Macedon Ranges Shier Council and Mount Alexander Shire Council.

Covering key topics such as physical activity, nutrition, life satisfaction and access to recreational opportunities, the ALC will provide a snapshot of how people in our region live, and what barriers they may face to staying healthy and active.

Mayor of Mount Alexander Shire Council, Cr Rosie Annear, said that the Active Living Census is crucial to understanding the health and wellbeing needs of our community.

“I encourage everyone across our shire to complete the survey,” said Mayor Annear.

“The more people who get involved, the clearer picture we get of what’s going well in our community and what’s needed.

“Completing the census online is easy, anonymous and takes around 15 minutes.

“Your responses help us make decisions that affect your day-to-day. It helps us improve our trails, bike paths, playgrounds, and sports and recreation facilities.

“It also helps us increase community access to healthy food and physical activity.”

Everyone who completes the census online will have the chance to be in the draw to win their share of $10,000 in prizes in the early bird and weekly prize draws.
