The role

The Business Support Officer provides support to the Bushfire Recovery team through:

  • Responding to incoming requests in a respectful and professional manner
  • being a key contact for community groups, government departments and other organisations
  • coordinating and maintaining information
  • assisting in the preparation of communication, correspondence and information for reports
  • assisting with organising meetings for the team

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within Local Government
  • knowledge and understanding of local governments roles in community relief and recovery
  • awareness of the Emergency Recovery Victoria – Recovery Framework
  • strong administrative skills and the ability to learn new systems
