16 Days of Activism runs from 25 November, which is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to 10 December, which is International Human Rights Day.
This year Mount Alexander Shire Council is entering a 16 Days of Activism truck into the Rotary Truck Show parade, to highlight the importance of respect and gender equality.
The international initiative was established by the United Nations to raise awareness and encourage communities to take action to end gender-based violence.
The theme this year is Respect Women: Call It Out.
