The Maldon Transfer Station will be closed from Wednesday 21 October to Sunday 25 October. It will re-open on Wednesday 28 October. The Castlemaine Transfer Station will operate as normal.

The United Nation’s international campaign, 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, takes place each year from 25 November until 10 December.
As part of the campaign, and in conjunction with the 38th Castlemaine Rotary Truck Show on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026, Mount Alexander Shire Council will host an information and resources stall at the Truck Show to promote awareness of gender-based violence and share information about local support services.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by the stall, learn more about the campaign, and show their support for building safe, respectful and inclusive communities. Keep an eye out for Council's orange works truck taking part in the truck parade, helping to spread the message that violence against women and children has no place in our community.
