The Maldon Transfer Station will be closed from Wednesday 21 October to Sunday 25 October. It will re-open on Wednesday 28 October. The Castlemaine Transfer Station will operate as normal.

Respect Starts at the Table Cookbook launch
In 2025, during the annual 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, community members came together to share conversations, stories and recipes around an important message: respect starts at the table. Those conversations inspired the development of the Respect Starts at the Table Community Cookbook, a collection of recipes and reflections that celebrates connection, inclusion and the role we all play in creating respectful relationships and safe communities.
We are excited to launch the cookbook at this year's Community Walk Against Gender-Based Violence. The official launch will take place at Victory Park, Castlemaine, on 25 November from 5:00pm to 5:30pm, immediately following the community walk.
The cookbook has been created by and for the community, and copies will be available free of charge for community members to collect at the launch event while stocks last. Join us as we celebrate this collaborative achievement and continue the conversation about respect, equality and belonging in our community.
