Many of us are less practised at three things than we realise: making requests, saying no when it isn't a full yes, and hearing no without something getting damaged. These aren't personality traits. They're capacities - and capacities can be built. A lot of what shows up as anxiety, resentment or exhaustion has a simple root: deep down we don't feel able to care for ourselves in our own relationships.

This free 60-minute session introduces a practice called Restoring Choice. It's a direct focus on our ability to take care of our own needs, which is something most of us were quietly trained out of.

Head to the ticket page to select from available dates.

What will be covered:

  • The five capacities that make up the practice.
  • Why our first instinct is often the most negative story available, and how to change that.
  • The difference between what we say out loud and what runs underneath - and why the second one matters more.
  • Where growth actually happens: the uncomfortable edge between "easy" and "impossible".

You'll leave with something you can use the same day.

What this isn't. This isn't a workshop you attend just to feel good. It's an introduction to a practice you'd do - daily, in writing, on your own life. If that doesn't appeal, this session probably isn't for you.
