Reconciliation Week – Waaman Cultural Tour

Join Uncle Rick for this unique tour for Reconciliation Week out on Djaara Country in the Castlemaine region where you will visit significant trees and sites that Uncle Rick has specifically selected.

A Welcome To Country and Smoking Ceremony is part of this tour as a cleansing to ensure you walk with good spirit.

Meet us on foot out the front at the Mostyn Street entrance at 10.00am and the Uncle Rick bus will pick you up and return you to same location at approximately 12.00pm. 

We HIGHLY recommend leaving time before or after the tour for a visit to the Boorp Boorp Boondyil exhibition inside the Market Building.

It gives residents and visitors a chance to walk through an interactive space, where they will learn the history of the area. It features the story of the Eagle, the Bat and the Crow, the Creation Story of the Dja Dja Wurrung in the Mount Alexander region, as told by the Nelson family.
