Victorian Miniature Railway Grand Opening

After nearly ten years of hard work, dedication, and thousands of volunteer hours, the Victorian Miniature Railway (VMR) will officially open its tracks to the public with a Grand Opening Weekend on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December in Harcourt.

The milestone marks the culmination of an extraordinary community effort - a true passion project built entirely by volunteers who have devoted years to constructing what is now a 2.7 kilometre miniature railway loop, complete with handmade track, sleepers and infrastructure, all crafted on site.

The grand opening weekend will feature train rides, live music, entertainment, local food and drink vendors, with activities for all ages. Visitors will be able to take in the sweeping views of Harcourt and Mount Alexander as they enjoy a 15 minute scenic ride around the track.
