How was the community involved?

In September 2025 we asked for information on how the community use the artwork site, and over 100 community members participated in artist talks and workshops which generated information for the artist's designs.

Common feedback themes from the engagement included:

  • The site is suitable
  • The project is welcome and of interest
  • The sculptural idea is well received
  • Community members are pleased the women’s story will be celebrated
