Maldon Transfer Station closed

The Maldon Transfer Station will be closed from Wednesday 21 October to Sunday 25 October. The Castlemaine Transfer Station will operate as normal.

Batteries

All types of batteries, including household batteries, should be taken to the Castlemaine transfer station. Batteries are not accepted at the Maldon Transfer Station. Batteries should be separated from other waste, and disposal is free-of-charge.

Under no circumstances should batteries be placed in household rubbish and recycling bins. Fires occur regularly as a result of batteries being placed in rubbish bins.
