Fruit tree netting

Fruit tree netting should be placed in landfill waste, either your red-lidded bin or at our transfer stations. Old netting, when discarded, can still be an entanglement risk. If you plan to dispose of old netting to landfill it is recommended that you place it into a strong bag first.

If you would like your old (illegal) netting recycled, the Conservation Regulator, in collaboration with five Melbourne metropolitan councils, is giving household fruit growers the opportunity to dispose of netting at no charge.
