Entries Are In – What Happens Next

Nominations and entries for the 2025 Mount Alexander Business Awards have now closed.

A big thank you to everyone who nominated a local business – and to all the businesses who submitted an entry. Your stories and contributions show what make our community strong.

All entries will be reviewed by an independent judging panel. Shortlisted businesses will be contacted directly to arrange a site visit as part of the process.

People’s Choice voting is now open

Residents of Mount Alexander Shire can vote for their favourite local business from among this year’s entrants. Voting is open until Sunday 12 October 2025.

About the awards

Held every two years, the Mount Alexander Business Awards celebrate local businesses that support their staff, care for the environment, create opportunities for young people, champion local food, improve access for everyone, make a difference in the community, or use smart ideas to solve problems. They reflect Mount Alexander Shire Council’s commitment to building a fair, caring and sustainable local economy.

The 2025 Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday 19 November – a relaxed evening of food, drinks and celebration. Finalists will receive early access to ticketing before tickets are released to the general public.

Prizes

There are some great prizes to win!

The overall winner (Business of the Year) receives $3,000, while all other category winners receive $500.
