The role

As a Building Inspector, you will be responsible for:

  • undertaking quality building inspections, permit assessments and reporting
  • providing specialist advice in accordance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and Council plans
  • enforcement services and conflict management

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • current registration with the Building and Plumbing Commission in the category of Building Inspector/Surveyor.
  • thorough knowledge of the Building Act, Regulations, Codes of Practice and relevant Australian Standards
  • ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • at least three years municipal experience.
  • current Victorian driver’s licence.
  • a proven commitment to customer service principles and a demonstrated ability to provide a professional service to a diverse range of clients is required.
