The hotline provides people affected by the 2026 Victorian bushfires with access to services, including:

financial assistance
clean-up support for damaged homes, businesses and community assets
general recovery support like finding local services, insurance and legal questions, money problems, health and wellbeing, registering for government services
farmer and primary producer support including financial assistance, livestock welfare, emergency fodder, fencing, wellbeing and business counselling
other general enquiries.

Recovery Hub

Harcourt Valley Community House provides a welcoming gathering space for fire-affected residents, including a community pantry, lunches, support, and connection.

Online Bushfire Recovery Hub

The Community Bushfire Recovery Hub is an online place for information, support and ways to get involved in bushfire recovery and resilience.

Clean-up and rebuild

Information and updates about waste services, temporary accommodation and rebuilding after the fire.

Financial and legal support

Financial payments, services and support, as well as legal and insurance advice for people affected by the fires in the Mount Alexander Shire.

Health and wellbeing support

Mental health and wellbeing support, plus resources for businesses, farmers, and remote communities affected by the fires.

Onsite assessments by Council

After a major event like a fire or flood, Council staff and specialists visiting our neighbourhoods to conduct Secondary Secondary Impact Assessments (SIA).
