The role

This role works with the Coordinator Risk and Insurance providing a broad range of high-quality, confidential and efficient administrative support across the Governance and Risk Unit, such as:

  • maintenance of Risk related systems, documents and accurate record keeping
  • liaising with external insurance vendors for under-excess insurance claims
  • assisting the Risk Management lifecycle from scoping, analysis, assessment and business support
  • administrative support for internal committees and meetings, and Council’s Internal Audit, Risk Management and compliance requirements
  • facilitation of Audit and Risk Committee Meetings as required, including the physical setting up and packing down of the venue

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • relevant experience and qualifications
  • highly developed administrative and organisational skills
  • advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of products including the capacity to use these tools to create administrative systems
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong attention to detail
  • knowledge of Council processes and the Local Government Act will be advantageous.
