The role
As a key member of the Engineering unit, the Senior Project Engineer is responsible for:
- planning, contract management and supervision of Engineering projects
- undertaking initial scoping of future projects and drafting reports
- reviewing and/or preparing project design briefs for engineering consultants
- the tender process for assigned projects, from document preparation through to evaluation and recommendation
- coordinating approvals and permits for civil infrastructure projects.
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- skills in problem solving, community engagement and project management
- a keen eye for detail and a desire to deliver excellent outcomes working with and for the community
- experience in team management or staff supervision
- experience in civil design and construction, procurement and contract administration
- Civil engineering registration in the State of Victoria
- the right to work in Australia
