The role
The Statutory Planner is responsible for the delivery of statutory planning outcomes in accordance with the Mount Alexander Planning Scheme and the Planning and Environment Act 1987, through:
- assessing and processing planning permit applications
- providing professional and timely responses to statutory planning enquiries
- supporting senior officers in representations at VCAT and other public forums as required
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- qualifications in Planning or a related discipline
- relevant experience, ideally in local government
- a positive attitude and passion for excellent customer service
- analytical and problem solving skills
