Help shape the future of public art
We are looking for a passionate community member to join Mount Alexander Shire Council's Public Art Advisory Panel and guide the development of our public art program.
The available volunteer role is for a curator who has experience in commissioning, curating and delivering public art.
The panel is actively engaged in advising Council on our direction for this growing program. The successful candidate will represent the community’s aspirations and advise on public art opportunities, proposals and strategies.
Join a passionate and expert group of committee members who have contributed vital feedback on successful commissions, professional development events and planning. This high achieving committee has been integral in establishing a strong, community-centred public art program.
The full panel meets quarterly and provides occasional advice by email. Individual committee members are invited to sit on 1-2 commission selection panels per year, depending on personal availability.
We strongly encourage applications from First Peoples, people living with a disability, culturally or linguistically diverse groups, and LGBTQIA+ community.
